Glencore’s McArthur River Mine is located on one of the world’s largest deposits of zinc and lead, about 970 kilometres south-east of Darwin in the Northern Territory. The operation includes an open cut mine and processing facilities.
The zinc and lead that’s mined and processed at McArthur River Mine is trucked to Bing Bong Loading Facility on the Gulf of Carpentaria. From there it is shipped to clients around the world.
Wahoo were engaged by Glencore to create a comprehensive suite of content relating to the broad operations of MRM, Bing Bong Port and their extensive work across environmental management initiatives and engagement with bordering local communities.
Our brief also extended to highlighting the outstanding work MRM does in the area of Indigenous Employment Pathways and showcasing three important supplier partnership arrangements that are vital to the Mine’s continued operation. Our team also went on to produce a television commercial for use throughout the Northern Territory.
